The wig gurus lace tint. Natural lace tint

The best lace tint

I was sitting at the hair salon getting some braids, and I started to wonder about what is the best lace tint. A few reasons came up and why it's much better than using other tinting techniques.

One of the most popular questions we get is "what makes this lace tint the best?".  So I started researching on methods of tinting lace. I found that a lot of these contain harsh chemicals such as ammonia, methylisothiazolinone, and artificial fragrance. These can cause skin irritations and even lead to more serious issues if you're allergic to them. The Wig Guru's lace tint contains none of these as it's packed with natural botanicals and essential oils. All of which come together to deliver a safe and effective product.

The best lace tint

Customers include thousands of professional hairstylists, wig artists, and of course wig enthusiasts globally. Not bad at all for a brand that’s sole product is just lace tint

Anyhoo….

" Buying better quality, organic, and natural products actually means you end up saving a lot in the long run!"

Let's break it down further what we define as a quality product:

  • Does it solve a problem? We believe we have solved the problem of providing high-quality all-natural lace tints which allow you to tint your lace to your skin tone with ease. No need to worry about if your lace is showing or irritation!
  • Is it easy to use? A high-quality product shouldn’t be complicated to use. This is why we made sure the formula is just ready to go. Some other tinting methods involve mixing a variety of ingredients. Here you just spray, dry, and go. It's really that simple!
  • Is it Presentable? One thing we take so much pride in is our packaging. Glass bottles are used to be compatible with the formula. It is also better quality than plastic as you use the bottle for other things once the tint runs out! Being 100% recyclable is super important us because why provide such amazing ingredients in a package that can actually distort. Pretty counterproductive if you ask me!
  • Is it efficient? The product should not only get the job done but do so efficiently. In other words, it should deliver quickly and require minimal effort from the consumer. And we make sure we do this!
  • Is it tailored to your customers? Our customers need a seamless lace melt to make sure that their lace wig isn't showing. They also need a one-stop where they can get all the right practical advice and products to help further achieve this goal. Our lace tint paired with our caviar closures creates the most flawless met. You can choose standard HD lace or HD film lace which is slightly thinner (more for the bougie ladies lol)

"They are handmade"

All of The Wig Gurus products are handmade in small batches, ensuring optimum quality is delivered. The lace tints are made on-demand and not sourced from overseas vendors like in China. Carefully formulated with natural ingredients sourced from all over the world. Taking the time to formulate an effective product is no easy feat. It usually takes years to get all those ingredients and their quantities right.  It also makes it more personal. We get to infuse the most important things to us right into the end product.

"They are sustainable"

Handcrafted products offer higher quality and more attention to detail. They also take less energy than a mass production assembly line. This makes them more environmentally sustainable. And thank God for that because the last thing we would want to do is add to the already concerning problem of unnecessary business waste.

Plastic Pollution

A whopping 40% of all plastic waste comes from packaging. And the total plastic waste literally doubled from 2000-to 2019 to 353 billion tonnes! I don't know if you have seen a whole tonne of something in your life, but it's a lot. The see that 353 million times over is pretty disgusting. But it's also the problems this causes further down the supply chain. I come from Ghana and seeing young kids collect piles of plastic from all around the city is painful to see. And to think that our products are a part of that issue is something that we most definitely could not live with as a business. It just wouldn't be worth it for us.

"Using natural and organic products can reduce skin irritation, unlike non-organic and non-natural products"

This is pretty much a brainer really. We have all witnessed the healing and soothing properties of natural ingredients like aloe vera and coconut oil. And I'm sure we have all witnessed the detrimental effects of relaxers and mineral oil clogging our scalp. The former is just so much better and puts your mind at ease knowing that you're giving your body parts a well-deserved treat.

When you use our natural lace tint on your lace wigs, lace frontal, and lace closures, this is how you should feel! You're giving your wig and yourself a well-deserved treat. So put your mind at ease knowing that we are here looking after you, your hair, and your scalp. It's better we do that than rather give you a headache as if your wig is on too tight and been on way too long. Lol (That feeling is the worst!, Hands up if you can relate!)

"They stand the test of time as the active ingredients have literally been around...well forever! "

Having a product that has been going strong for the last 5 years is amazing to us, and we wholeheartedly believe it's because of the formula! The ingredients we use are not new, but rather ancient in their uses and benefits. We will continue to expand upon making the product better as we explore more in the wonderful world of natural and organic products because truly there are so many! But the key is harnessing the power of a select few to deliver optimum results. We hope that as more years pass, we can create other ranges in the line that will have the same or even better effect.

BONUS No.6

"This lace tint was made by a professional wig stylist who couldn't stand the process of tinting lace for her clients."

Imagine bleaching those big knots on a lace frontal that you warned your client about NOT buying, and toning down those orange tones that are just as bright as Fanta to a cool shade of brown. Then going in and drying that wig, gluing it down, and styling it. Only for them to walk outside in natural lighting, and then BAM, you can see that lace. YOU CAN SEE THAT LACE! Oh and don't forget the text after the installation that the hairline is feeling a bit itchy, and no glue was even used. It was just the teabags and hair dye piled up on her poor forehead. Gutted is an understatement. Confidence shattered and dreams of working on Beyonce's hair floated away.

You get flashbacks of the lace Grids look looking like a sieve! You know you got to give her a heavy discount for that because your pride just won't let your name be attached to such work.

The Conception

Well, She went on to create 4 shades of all-natural lace tint for those beloved lace wigs, lace frontal, and lace closures completely based on the women of color she used to serve, and they all loved it. This is also why she started hand ventilating (tying each hair to the lace) on all her lace closures, lace frontal, full lace wigs, and lace front wigs. Assembling a team to help with this strenuous but much more rewarding job because all ladies deserve to have fabulous handmade works of art sitting pretty like a crown. She is me. Belinda Brown.
